The Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for Metro Parkway (SR 739) from the vicinity of US 41 (SR 45) and Alico Road to the vicinity of SR 82 (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard), which includes the segment of this design project, from Daniels Parkway to Winkler Avenue, was completed in 1998.

Objective: The project proposes to reconstruct the existing Metro Parkway (SR 739) from a four-lane divided roadway to a six lane divided urban roadway from Daniels Parkway to Winkler Avenue. The alternatives will include multimodal improvements such as bicycle lanes, sidewalks, and bus stops.
